Stop by and we’ll introduce you to our new favorite tshirt designs from Gama-go.  We love the soft fabrics, right on colors, and great prices, including this one…

Remember the good old days when you passed love notes in the back of elementary school class?  You clutched the reply in your sweaty palm until you could safely read it.  And then you opened it to find the tiniest X marked beside the yes box.   True love at last!  At least for that week anyway.

Well, we want to know if you love us!

You can check yes or no, by posting a reply to this post and you’ll be automatically entered to win a lovely Lollia gift pack just in time for Valentines Day.  We’ll draw a winner on Saturday January 16th!

Lately our kitchen has been filled with the scents of holiday cooking.   We’re making cookies, preparing party treats, and this year, we’ve even whipped up a few homemade gifts for our neighbors.  With all this great stuff simmering, we don’t want some over the top home product taking away from the delicious aromas.

Which is exactly why we love all of the products from Cucina!

cucinaInfused with scents like coriander, lime zest, and zucchini, these lotions and hand washes are subtle yet scrumptious.  And all of the products are made with first press olive oil and are amazingly moisturizing.  The pasta bag gift sets contain a duo of lotion and handwash and make a fantastic hostess gift at $25 each.

We’ ve got more great gifts for the top chef in your life, so be sure to pop in and see what else we’re cooking up!

Just over two weeks from Christmas and you’ve still got presents to buy and wrap, treats to bake and eat, and a million other happy holiday-ish tasks to check off  your list.  We can’t bake your goodies for you, and we’re certainly not going to help untangle those Christmas lights, but we can work with you to find the perfect gifts!

Still looking for something for that stress case of a sister? We love these lavender drawer inserts from Elizabeth W.  Slip them into a drawer or cupboard and they will have her sheets and  jammies smelling wonderful.

If she’s the kind of gal too busy to soak, these bath pouches might be the perfect gift.  Each pouch contains salts soaked in essential oils and they can be used in the shower or bath!  The pouches make the perfect stocking stuffer or sweet little something.

We could all use a good night’s rest and these pillow inserts might just be the perfect little indulgence to help a gal send those sheep packing.  They are the perfect size to slip into a pillow case and can also be used in a suitcase to keep her relaxed on the road.

Holidays a hassle?  Not when you’re shopping with us!

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Just in time for Christmas, we have a new line from the makers of Lollia and TokyoMilk!  Love & Toast handcremes, lip balms, and perfumes come in yummy scents and downright delicious prices.

The products are made from natural and mostly organic ingredients. The honey & coconut shea butter hand cream reminds us of a summer day at the beach, and we love the gin & lime lip balm to keep your lips lovable during the cold winter weather!

Most of the pieces are less than $10,  and at these prices, we’re planning to scoop up multiples to give to all of our gal pals.  While we’re at it, we might even grab a few for ourselves.

Over the hill and through the woods, or maybe just down the highway a little, to grandmother’s house we go! This holiday, don’t show up with the same lame fruit cake. You think Gram is the coolest and we have just the gifts to show it.

If your grandmother is far away and you won’t be there to see her in person this year, wrap her neck in style with our cashmere scarves in gorgeous colors!  They ship easily and she’ll feel fabulous when she wears it, like a warm hug around her neck just from you.

cashmereFor the grandma who is happiest in the kitchen basting the bird while whipping up her famous homemade stuffing, why not treat her to a gift set from Cucina?  The scents are herby and delicious, made to compliment, not compete with the smells of the food in your kitchen. Not that her cooking has any competition as far as you are concerned.cucinaduo

If your grandmother is an original dame, she might just love our vintage inspired necklaces from jewelry designer Lenora Dame.  Each piece is a modern approach to an antique design, with gorgeous bits of fabric and intricate beading. The necklaces are striking and unique, just like she is.

She’s always there in a pinch, with a box of tissues or a bottle of wine, or both, ready to listen when you need her. With the holidays fast approaching, we thought you might like a few ideas for your best gal pal.

For the girl who is happiest during happy hour, we have stocked a nice assortment of  fun wine glasses from Lolita. They are all hand painted and each glass is nicely packaged in a coordinating box.  Our favorite is the “5 O’clock Somewhere” glass, not that your pal needs to be reminded!

If your girlfriend is truly a southern sweetie, our monogrammed plates might just be the perfect gift.  Traditional, but not stuffy, each plate is boldly scripted with a single initial on refined porcelain.  Whether she uses them to collect her favorite baubles  or to catch her favorite scented soaps, the sweet dish will remind her that you think she’s a classic.

For the fashionista friend, a stylish pair of earrings might do the trick.  Long time Swankster favorite vendor, By Boe has some fab styles that never fail to please.  We love the waterfall earrings, available in silver or gold and in both longer and shorter lengths, for that little touch of something sexy.

waterfall-hoopFor that friend who seems to have it allthe newest lipgloss, the sleekest cell phone, the keys to a hot little car, why not treat her to something she can stash it all in?  Our clutches from Big Buddha are small on price but huge on style.

Can you believe that Halloween is just a few weeks away?  In our house, Halloween night is all about trick or treating with the tots.  But that doesn’t mean a grown-up gal can’t plan a festive celebration too!

These glam kitty decorations have inspired me to whip up a devilish cocktail and invite a few gal pals by after the little tricksters are tucked in for the night.  If you have been busy planning a monster bash, we hope you’ll stop in and snag a few things from our  hip Halloween decor.

And don’t be scared, we have some pretty good deals right now, so you won’t find yourself  ”haunted” by your bills later!
